I practice from an anti-oppressive, anti-racist and trauma-focused lens. I utilize eclectic approaches such as CBT, DBT and EFT when working with individuals as well as using mindfulness techniques to help with concerns relating to: grief and bereavement, stress, depression, social anxiety, PTSD, personal growth, life changes, healthy relationships, boundaries, and self-esteem.

With additional training and certification in Trauma-Focused CBT approaches such as Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy, I hope to provide individuals with relief from symptoms of and relating to PTSD and traumatic memories.

Hi, I’m Irfa Samnani (she/her), a Registered Psychotherapist with over 15 years of clinical experience supporting individuals and couples through anxiety, trauma, perinatal mental health challenges, parenting stress, chronic illness, and major life transitions.

I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto and have worked in diverse clinical and community settings across my career. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I use an integrative approach, drawing from modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, CFT, EFT, psychodynamic, mindfulness, relational therapy, and somatic-based strategies.
